Data used by the app

Ontario Nail IPAC stores client identity and contact details, service records, infection-prevention process records, incidents and user-selected attachments to provide its recordkeeping features. It does not use this data for advertising, tracking, profiling or AI training.

Where data goes

The iPhone or iPad database is the first-write source. When the workspace owner enables private iCloud, records and encrypted assets are stored in that user’s private CloudKit database and may be shared only through an owner-managed private share. Product identifiers are sent to official Health Canada services only when the user requests a database check. Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit.

Retention and user control

The default client retention period is three years. Workspace owners can export, correct, extend retention with a recorded reason, or remove client identity after review. Subscription expiry never blocks reading, searching or exporting existing records.

Responsibilities and contact

The salon or independent operator controls client records and remains responsible for privacy notices, lawful collection, access requests, retention and disclosure. Ontario Nail IPAC is not a government service, compliance certification or legal adviser.
